Case Study: Photography and Virtual Tours for Central Coast Medical Practices
Intro / Summary
Medical practices on the Central Coast such as Mariner’s Doctors in Tuggerah, Toukley Family Practice, and Warnervale GP Superclinic were having new websites built and needed authentic visual content. They wanted photography and virtual tours that would not only look professional but also help with the bigger challenge of attracting new doctors.
I provided still photography and 360‑degree virtual tours that show each practice in a genuine and welcoming way. The result is content that helps patients feel confident and supports recruitment by showing prospective doctors what it is like to work at these medical centres on the Central Coast.

Client
Three Central Coast medical practices: Mariner’s Doctors in Tuggerah, Toukley Family Practice, and Warnervale GP Superclinic.
Challenge
These practices were building new websites with MakeWeb and required professional photography and virtual tours. The main challenge was doctor recruitment. While attracting patients is always important, the greater difficulty lay in attracting doctors to work at the practices.
To achieve this, the imagery needed to be authentic and show real people in real spaces. Stock images would not do the job. It was essential to highlight the genuine workplace culture and modern facilities so that prospective doctors considering a move to the Central Coast could see the environment clearly.
Solution
I created a combination of medical practice photography and 360 virtual tours for the three medical practices on the Central Coast with the following process:
- Still photography: Interior and exterior shots capturing the look and feel of each location. Natural images of staff at work and updated doctor headshots ensured the content was genuine and up to date.
- Focus on authenticity: The client was fantastic to work with. They even went as far as arranging family members to take part as on‑site talent, which gave the photos a more human and welcoming touch.
- Virtual tours: A walkthrough experience designed to show parking areas, entries, waiting rooms, consulting rooms, treatment areas and accessibility points.
- Careful scheduling: All photography and tours were completed before or after hours to protect privacy and avoid disruptions to patient care.
Results
The practices now have professional photography and 360 tours that serve two important purposes.
- Patients visiting the websites see authentic images of the team and real facilities, which builds trust and confidence.
- Prospective doctors gain insight into the working environment, supporting the practices in their efforts to recruit.
- Updated headshots and consistent branding bring a polished, professional look across all three practices.
By focusing on authenticity and creating photo and video content that reflects reality, these medical practices now have websites that speak directly to both patients and future staff.
Thanks
Big thanks to Isaac from MakeWeb for bringing me into this project and trusting me to create the visuals. Also, special thanks to the practices themselves. They were a pleasure to work with, supportive throughout, and generous in making arrangements for both staff and family members to take part so the photography felt genuine and human.
