Wildfig Service Alliance Breakfast: Business Insights and Networking in Action

Attending the Wildfig Service Alliance breakfast meetings is one of my favourite ways to connect with other local business professionals on the Central Coast. These events always feature an expert speaker, and today was no exception.

A Wealth of Business Resources with Bill Hazard

Our guest speaker was Bill Hazard, a highly respected business adviser with the Entrepreneur’s Infrastructure Programme at AusIndustry. Bill brought fantastic insights into the practical support available for qualifying Australian businesses. His presentation opened my eyes to just how many valuable, and often underused, resources are out there for SMEs looking to grow.

Bill shared real-world examples of how government-supported programmes can help business owners improve their operations, access mentoring, and tap into grants for growth or innovation. The information covered included ways to develop better business strategies, optimise efficiencies, and find networking or partnering opportunities right here on the Central Coast and further afield.

Why Connecting Locally Makes All the Difference

Meetings like these highlight something very important: no business is an island. Organisations like the Wildfig Service Alliance thrive because they bring together business owners, advisers, and service providers who share a passion for local economic growth. I always gain new perspective and ideas from the conversations around the table.

Whether you’re just starting out or have been established for years, there’s always something new to learn from guest speakers and peers. I’m a big believer in investing time in local business communities—both to share what I know and to learn from those who’ve experienced different challenges.

Big Thanks to Forsythes Recruitment

A sincere thanks to Scott Henshaw from Forsythes Recruitment for inviting me along. Networking through established channels like this helps all of us stay connected to the latest news, resources, and local partnerships that matter.

If you get the chance, I’d highly recommend attending a Wildfig Service Alliance event yourself, or finding a similar business networking group in your area. And if you ever want to have a chat about building your own business profile online, from Google Business Profile to virtual tours, I’m always happy to catch up.

Looking forward to connecting with the group again soon and sharing more business insights next time!
