A virtual tour was shot at this Lexus car dealership in Kariong NSW recently as a means to help optimise their Google My Business profile.
The focus for this Google Street View virtual tour was to help people get a better understanding of what they would be able to experience by going to the automotive dealership in person. Part of creating a realistic feel to the virtual tour photography was to include people in it.
It’s been a long standing idea that people like to see images with other people in them and that’s no different when it comes to Google Street View virtual tours.
What you will notice is that some of the virtual tour images are shot from an elevated view to provide a bird’s eye view similar to what would be experienced with drone photography. The difference here is that no drone was used. Instead, an extremely tall camera stand is used (up to 7 meters) to get shots that are elevated in places where a drone may not be able to go.
This virtual tour includes both driveway entrances, the outdoor car area, the indoor car showroom, the sales offices, a meeting room, the service bay access and service garage and even the disability access points throughout the premises.
In all this virtual tour photography session required a total of 33 360° photos to complete the full experience and is published directly to the Lexus of Central Coast Google My Business page which can be found on Google Search, Google Maps, Google Street View and Google Earth.
Since publishing this virtual tour in June of 2019, the images are reported have been seen over 30,000 times with a median weekly view of over 200 views per week.
There is no doubt that this much exposure will have a positive impact on this car dealership’s sales and new customer enquiries.
You can see the virtual tour as published in the viewer below.
